Catches

The catch log records every fish you land, with as much or as little detail as you like.

Fields

Section titled “Fields”
  • Species — what you caught.
  • Weight & length — measurements for the record.
  • GPS location — where you caught it; nearby spots pick it up automatically (within 100 m).
  • Catch-&-release — flag whether the fish was released.
  • Presentation — how you were fishing it.
  • Linked lure & spot — connect the catch to a lure from your library and to a saved spot.

Bite Index

Every catch stores an automatic Bite Index — a 0–10 weather score describing how favourable conditions were at the time and place of the catch. The score is captured as a snapshot on the catch, so it stays accurate even as the weather changes.
